The view afforded in Sugarloaf is from the hills of the Santa Teresa district in Rio. Santa Teresa is a bohemian area where artists, writers,
and visitors are drawn by spectacular views of the city. Some of Rio’s most interesting restaurants are nestled in Santa Teresa’s winding streets.
Like many of the buildings there, the restaurant in this work has an art deco flavor.
Sugarloaf is a widely recognized Rio peak, and is an important focal point in this work. No visit to Rio would be complete without a climb
in a cable car to this summit where other spectacular views of the city are available.
